Art as Therapy

Alternative Entertainments have worked with the Adelaide & Meath Hospital's Arts Office for the past number of years programming much of the hospital's visual arts exhibitions on Hosptial Street. Hospital Street is a long corridor with the main area of the hospital down which a large proportion of staff, patients and visitors travel each day. The exposure this affords to artists and their work is enormous, while at the same time feeding into the hospital's long-running and pioneering Arts & Health strategy. Artists featured in recent years have been John Phillip Murray, Jimmy Clarke, Sylvia Loeffler, and Jackie Askew.
